A little about me...just a girl loving life and taking it all in. I am in love with winter coats, cowboy boots and a comfy pair of jeans. I still watch Saturday morning cartoons. I have no will power when it comes to chocolate, shoes, or handbags. My style is vintage Shabby Chic. I will one day be a world traveler, think Audrey Hepburn is the most beautiful and always in my purse, black eyeliner and chap stick. I believe in God and know that he has blessed me beyond belief. I love my Drew, my pups (Juno & Abby), the ocean, and I am addicted to my iPAD. I am a dreamer and always search for the good in people. Coffee lover that supports the locals! Love Cafes, diners, and dives I always think Quiche and cantaloupe are the way to go and I always have to grab a People Magazine while shopping and NEVER manage to walk out emptied handed from Target. Fun pictures, good music, and something warm to drink is what I live for.

DIY Shabby Chic Dog Bed

Monday, May 16, 2011
We are in the process of redoing our bedroom and I have to say my dogs favorite place to lounge does not exactly fit in with our new decor. I wanted something that matched our new look so I looked around my house to see what I could come up with.
We are doing our room very neutral and light colors so I wanted Abby's space to reflect the same. Here are some things that you will need to create this cozy bed.
1. I had a wicker basket that I rarely used for anything important. I spray painted it white to match our room. It took a couple of coats.

2. Abby's old bedding had a small pillow that detached from the her bed. I decided to use it to give her a sense of familiarity. I covered it with organic cotton fabric. This is as simple as covering it and tacking it underneath.
3. I painted a wooden tag white and once dry painted her name on it with acrylic paint. I then attached it though the wicker with a decorative piece of ribbon to let it hang down.
4. The last step that you need is your adorable little pup to grace its presence. Abby loved it and it looks more like a piece of our room instead of an eye sore.

Good Luck with yours and thanks for stopping by!

-Andi :)
